Making of the Mini Bar
From an abandoned 1967 Jackson Cub Caravan to a professional mobile bar.
After spending the last nine years working in the hospitality and events industry, Olivia, the founder, decided to embark on a journey with the goal of creating the most memorable and enjoyable mobile bar experience. What began as a pipe dream led to the purchase of a derelict Jackson Cub caravan, which she renovated (with help from Bryan) into a fully functioning bar.
The Mini Bar is a boutique mobile bar company based in Auckland. Our team is experienced in a variety of events, including weddings, house parties, and festivals. With two 50L chilled draught beer taps, a 300L drinks fridge, and a slushy machine available upon request, the skilled bartenders ensure that your guests are happy and their glasses are always full.
About the Mini Bar Rig
Inspired by a love of vintage vehicles and having previously restored a classic Mini Clubman car, Olivia was drawn to a TradeMe listing for a Jackson Cub Caravan "designed to be towed by a classic Mini." She hit the buy now and with Bryan traveled all the way to Hawkes Bay to rescue it from a paddock. The weeks, months, and years that followed were a hard slog to refit the rig to their high standards. Four years later, after many setbacks, lockdowns, and career changes, the time finally came to finish it off and launch it as "The Mini Bar" seen today.
